Agricultural Council of California Legislative Day

Brent Morrison and Geoff Chinnock of the Morrison & Company team spent Tuesday in Sacramento at the Agricultural Council of California’s Legislative Day.

As allied members of the Ag Council, Morrison & Company was brought up to speed on the council’s work at the capitol. The Ag Council provides a unified voice for cooperatives and other farmer-owned businesses in the state legislative and regulatory arenas.

Members were also provided an opportunity to meet with state legislators and Brent and Geoff spent some quality time with Senator Doug LaMalfa and Assemblyman Dan Logue.

The event ended with a reception, where Brent and Geoff mingled with California Department of Food and Agriculture Secretary Karen Ross, Assemblyman Jim Nielsen and California State Governor Jerry Brown.
